Prostitution is legal in The Netherlands and whilst its capital city is most infamous for the Amsterdam Red Light District, there are brothels throughout the city which can also be explored. In the so-called ‘private houses’ (privehuis) you’ll enjoy more privacy, a longer session, and better pampering. You may even find it’s cheaper when outside of the tourist areas!
What to expect at Park 118 brothel
It is a sensible idea to call ahead to ensure there will be at least one lady available for your visit, as the brothel only has up to 7 ladies working at once. However, turning up without an appointment is not usually an issue.
Wait patiently upon ringing the doorbell. It will be answered when it is safe for them to do so. Brothels in Amsterdam will purposefully try to ensure clients do not mingle with each other to respect your privacy.
You will be welcomed by the brothel hostess and led to a waiting area and offered a complimentary drink of choice. Take a seat and wait. Ladies who are available will enter the room, one by one, and greet you. Afterwards, the hostess will come and ask you which lady you prefer. At this point it’s ok to walk away.
Upon making your selection, your chosen lady will return and you will be taken upstairs to a room.
Rates at Privehuis 118 start from €80 for 30 minutes and average about €150 for the hour. These prices are set by the brothel and include standard service (blowjob and sex in multiple positions), but any extras need to be negotiated with the lady. Extras might include kissing, oral on her, or even anal.
My experience at Park 118 brothel
After choosing my lady I was escorted into her room which consisted of a bed, chair and shower. The lady, a mature and curvaceous woman from Romania, offered me a shower to start. I asked if she’d like to join me and she happily obliged.

At Amsterdam Central take the metro (blue line) towards Zuid, getting off at the De Pijp stop. From here walk for about 9 minutes along the street, with the park on your left. The brothel is on the opposite side of the road.
The venue is in a residential area of Amsterdam, on a busy road full of cafes and shops, opposite a wonderful popular park. The entrance is discreet, looking like a normal townhouse to anyone not in the know. You’ll be able to identify it by the discreet ‘Park 118’ sign on the outside.
Privehuis 118 is open 11am to midnight Monday to Saturday, and open from midday to midnight on Sundays. You can check which lady is working each day by visiting the Park 118 website.
